I have been a lawyer in Florida for 21 years, including the past 18 years in Putnam County. In April, 2002, I left the Putnam County State Attorney's Office as Deputy Division Chief and opened my own law office in Palatka.
Many of you know my trial experience as a prosecutor in Putnam County for over eight years. Some of you may know me from the six years as an Assistant Public Defender in Putnam County before I became a prosecutor. In all, I have tried well over 200 jury trial cases. These include complicated, high-profile murder and white-collar cases. Both jobs have given me tremendous experience in the courtroom.
The practice has grown tremendously in the past five years. Much of our business comes from word-of-mouth referrals, particularly from former clients. It also helps to be located across from the courthouse.
Just so that you know, although I am licensed to practice anywhere in Florida, I do most of my work in the Northeast Florida region, which includes Putnam, St. Johns, Clay, Flagler, Duval, Volusia, and Alachua Counties. Occassionally, we are retained in areas outside those counties.
